About me

My path into tech started when I got my first computer as a kid and immediately wanted to understand how everything worked. That curiosity never really went away. It just evolved from taking things apart (and sometimes successfully putting them back together) into building software.

I went through the whole education route, computer technician diploma, bachelor's, then master's in Informatics at FERI, University of Maribor. Alongside my studies, I tutored other students, which taught me how to explain complex topics clearly. Working with the Student Organization showed me that organizing people is much harder than organizing code.

I've been doing this professionally since 2021: FlawlessCode first, then Comtrade Gaming, and now Blocksi, where I work across the whole stack, from the UI down to the database and the pipelines that ship it all to production.

Before I start building anything, I try to figure out what problem we're actually solving, because it isn't always what the ticket says. Then I go for the simplest solution that works and that someone can still maintain six months later. If I take something on, I finish it properly, details included. And if I see a problem coming, I'd rather say so early than watch it grow. I like working in a team, and when something needs direction, I don't mind being the one to take the lead.
